- Perform urine cultures, blood cultures, gram stains, fungal stains, BD Max PCR
- Troubleshoot laboratory instruments
- Reagent preparation
- A current, California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (CLS) or a Clinical Microbiology Scientist (CMS)
- Bachelor's degree
- Must have a minimum of at least two years of current technical and practical experience in bacteriology, mycology, mycobacteriology, and /or parasitology
- Strong educational background and advanced training in Microbiology
- Demonstrated working knowledge of current instrumentations: BD Bactec FX and bioMerieux Vitek 2 and MS systems, Centrifuges, Water Baths, Analytical Balance, Fume hood, Biological Safety Cabinet, Incubator
- Skilled in using a computer

The Microbiology Lab is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, Per Diem.In this key role, you will assist with a variety of technical procedures within the Bacteriology, Mycobacteriology, Mycology and Parasitology sections of the Brentwood Annex.
