    ED Highlights:

    • Team of six ED physiciansplus strong support (full-time hospitalist coverage, four general surgeons, three ortho, three OB, two podiatrists, three pediatricians, psychiatry, CRNAs, etc.)?
    • 24/7 Access to system Service Lines (Mental Health, ?Cardiology, Neurology, Pediatrics, etc.)
    • 9.5K visits annually
    • Eleven bed ED
    • Experienced team of nurses and employed EMS
    • Level IV Trauma Center, Stroke Ready
    • Easy transfers to affiliated tertiary care hospital network
    • Epic with dragon dictation?

    • 1.5 hours from Twin Cities
    • 12-hour shifts, flexible scheduling

    Job Description:

    • Provide patient care and immediate recognition, evaluation, care and stabilization of adult and pediatric patients
    • Provide immediate decision-making and action necessary to prevent death or any further disability in the prehospital setting by directing emergency medical technicians and in the emergency department.
    • Review patient medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation
    • ?Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
    • Provide education, consultation or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families
    • Practice with consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities
    • ?Actively participate in multidisciplinary team approach to case management
    • May provide care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient or outpatient hospital setting
    • Utilize quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in the delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows

    Licenses/Certifications

    • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
    • Completion of 2 years emergency medicine residency, in good standing with residency and compliance with moonlighting regulations
    • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
    • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
    • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
    • ACLS/BLS
    • ATLS or CALS
    • PALS ?

    Pay Range

    Pay Range: $336,491 to $420,611 per year

    The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
