    JT4 is hiring an Instrumentation Electrical Design Engineer for their Edwards AFB located in California.

    Instrumentation Electrical Design Engineer performs a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, design, development, testing, installation, and integration of airborne data acquisition systems for the Instrumentation Design section.

    Employee will be responsible to perform the following functions/duties:

  • Perform as a member or lead of an instrumentation design team on complex engineering assignments in fast-paced environment.
  • Independently perform a range of design, development, analysis, or review tasks under generally established project deadlines.
  • Complete design specifications, analyses, or design reviews for aircraft instrumentation projects.
  • Generate complete design specifications for airborne data acquisition instrumentation systems.
  • Coordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements.
  • Verify and comply with engineering documentation, design, and airworthiness standards and procedures.
  • Perform electrical circuit and power loads analysis and prepare technical reports.
  • Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work.
  • Direct interface with customers at all levels from requirements development to final design and test activities.
  • Acts as liaison for design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits to support aircraft modification and system test efforts.
  • Perform other job-related duties, as required.
  • Requirements-Education, Technical & Work Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution with 2 years of related engineering experience or have an accredited Master of Science in Engineering. The candidate must have professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles and familiarity with related engineering fields.
  • Must have practical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructions.
  • Should have a working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools and must possess planning/organizing skills.
  • Must possess a valid, state issued driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Desired Experience/Knowledge:
  • Experience with AutoCAD or other digital engineering software.
  • Working knowledge of analog and digital electronic circuits.
  • Ability to read and analyze electrical diagrams and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience with TTC hardware/software.
  • Experience with aircraft instrumentation, avionics, or data acquisition.
  • Knowledge of IRIG 106 Telemetry Standards.
  • Salary
    The expected salary range for this position is $93,000 to $142,376 annually.
