    Job Title: Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse)
    About BioLife Plasma Services
    We are committed to customer service and quality. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will work with donors to determine their eligibility to donate plasma, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
    You will work under the guidance of the Center Manager for operational guidance and the Center Physician for medical issues. You will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, and confidential self-exclusion.
    • Manage donor adverse events as outlined in SOPs.
    • Evaluate donor reactions and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies.
    • Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary.
    Requirements:
    • High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
    • Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
    • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
    • Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
