Job Description
As a Security Officer - Flex Patrol in Bridgewater, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Learn more: As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor assigned areas and conduct routine patrols to help spot and report security-related concerns. You will remain highly visible, control access points as needed, and support visitors and employees with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
- Monitor entrances, gates, and delivery traffic; verify identification and/or access authorization; and assist with visitor management processes in accordance with site requirements.
- Complete accurate logs and reports, operate site communication equipment, and report hazards, spills, unusual odors, or other abnormal conditions to the appropriate site representative per procedure.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
