    Systems Administrator

    Hybrid, Birmingham, AL

    Full Time Opportunity

    SUMMARY: Responsible for administration, maintenance, upkeep, and planning for all of our manufacturing client's information systems. The systems administrator will be the primary point of contact for all end user support, ensuring that users are able to do their jobs with minimal interruption or degradation in performance due to technical issues. They will also conduct preventative maintenance and monitoring of all company systems, ensuring business continuity and security of the company's data. The systems administrator will generate both internal (team) and end user documentation, ensuring that users are educated on the tools available to them, and that internal reference and administration knowledge is not siloed.

    FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all hardware (servers and end user workstations).
    • Provide technical support to all employees.
    • Develop, deploy, and enforce company security policies governing information systems.
    • Document company environment and develop training and reference materials for IT reference and end user training.
    • Project planning for the enhancement and standardization of company systems.
    • Research, assessment, selection, and deployment of information systems to accomplish company objectives.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • 4+ years working in an IT role, with previous experience in end-user support is highly preferred, minimum 2 years' experience required.
    • Expert in Microsoft Windows operating system (deployment and troubleshooting)
    • Administration of Windows Servers (2+ years preferred)
    • Administration of Active Directory (AD)
    • Administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory (AAD) (2+ years preferred)
    • Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Ruby, or other scripting language preferred
    • Hyper-V administration
    • Networking (CCNA or Network+ a bonus), with DNS and DHCP setup and management in domain environment
    • Experience with SSO standards and setup (SAML)
    • Security background and focus, CISSP or other certification preferred.
