    ROLE SUMMARY:

    The Sr. Manager Sweet & Salty Snacks will play a key leadership role in developing and growing our Sweet & Salty portfolio. This role owns stewarding our CMG brands into the Salty Snacks aisle, driving nearly 100% incremental sales for The Hershey Company. Leveraging our new capabilities like a Drizzle popcorn production line and our incredible pretzel manufacturing network, the growth possibilities are HUGE This is a great opportunity to build (something that is completely new and different), do something challenging (new and different is always hard), while building yourself as a leader (you have a great team, with Senior leader visibility).

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead and own the holistic Sweet & Salty Snacking platform, prioritizing growth opportunity spaces and maximizing our Salty resources.

    • Execute and lead the first "A" launch of our CMG brands into the Pretzel Category (it's top secret, you'll have to ask more questions for details)

    • Lead and own the Sweet & Salty popcorn platform, determining the best way to maximize the opportunity across Seasons and key channels (Club, C-Store, Walmart)

    • Work across operations partners and sales teams to develop the best go-to-market launch and merch plans to break through the Salty category differently

    • Build marketing plans that go beyond traditional investments, focused on maximizing distribution and merch gains

    • Partner directly with R&D on creating, validating and commercializing a long-lead pretzel/popcorn pipeline that maximizes our network and drives incremental sales

    • Partner internally to build enterprise capabilities (e.g., CMG brand teams, Sales teams, R&D, insights)

    • Develop and own annual brand plans and 3-year strategic plan including innovation pipeline

    • Coach and develop 2 direct reports, creating strong growth opportunities and strategic develop for their careers

    QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, etc.):

    Education:
    Bachelors degree required with MBA or relevant Master's degree preferred

    Experience: Progression of successful accomplishments at levels of marketing management that lead to Sr Marketing Manager to include typically at least 3 years as a Brand Manager. The experience should be consistent with the particular role for the Sr Brand Manager. In general, experience in the top-tier consumer products marketing companies is expected.
