    Job Description/Responsibilities



    The Visitor Experience Team Leader - Gift Shop & Merchandising is responsible for supervising and facilitating all operations that occur at the Buffalo Trace Distillery Gift Shop including managing and developing Gift Shop Associates. The leader ensures the Gift Shop is always aesthetically pleasing, well stocked, and show ready. The leader strives to create raving fans of Buffalo Trace Distillery by offering exceptional merchandise, world class service, and experiences.

    Responsibilities:

      Managing and mentoring team members
    • Interview, hire, train and develop team members; provide team with timely feedback, both formal and informal
    • Actively participate in team member performance management
    • Create daily team schedule so that the right people are in the right place at the right time according to business needs
    • Order fullfillment - assist with ordering merchanidse and supplies as needed
    • Model unbeatable customer service from first interaction to follow-up
    • Ensure that operational tasks are completed throughly and efficiently, including restocking, merchandising, inventory cycle counting, cleaning, etc.
    • Conduct opening and closing cash register procedures, make change orders, and create daily cash deposits
    • Collaborate with department leaders to develop short and long-term business plans to meet and exceed KPIs




    Qualifications/Requirements



    Requirements:

    • Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights/weekends)
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • High School diploma or GED equivalent
    • Must be a team player
    • Ability to project a professional image
    • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
    • 3 years' supervisory experience
    • 5 years' in customer service/retail
    • 1 year experience dealing with VIP guests
    • Undergraduate Degree
