- Degree in Computer Science, ECE, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire knowledge of new technologies
- Strong programming skills in C++ and/or Java
- Experience with XML/JSON generation
- Strong systems skills (Linux, Windows, Shell Scripting, VM Technologies)
- Experience in reading and implementing source code
- Debugging experience under Windows and Linux
- Experience with design, development, test, verification, and certification of operational software is highly desired.

Peraton Labs delivers innovative solutions and revolutionary new capabilities to solve the most difficult and complex challenges for government agencies, utilities, and commercial customers.
Peraton Labs' cybersecurity research protects mission-critical systems and national cyber infrastructure through a broad range of initiatives in computer network defense, secure-by-design techniques, cyber operations, and experimentation platforms.
Role and responsibility for this position:
At Peraton Labs, we are looking for candidates with a strong background in software development and networking for full-time positions in our network system group.
Projects will involve a mix of research and development and will range from applied research to advanced prototyping to development, verification, and certification of operational software.
This position will be full-time at a customer facility.The ideal candidate will be one who is able to collaborate as part of a dynamic customer, Peraton Labs, and subcontractor team as well as execute work independently.
This position is an integral member of the Peraton Labs Network Systems team supporting a customer site location with responsibilities to maintain information systems and their appropriate security posture.
This individual shall have relevant working experience to perform Linux and/or Microsoft Windows system administration tasks and solid knowledge to manage the security aspects of an information system.
The individual must be capable of interfacing with the customer as well as monitoring and directing subcontractor tasking.This position requires full time on-site work in College Park, Maryland.

BS 5-7 Years, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2
