- Perform over the road driver skills assessments (pre and post hire).
- Assist in driver orientations both in truck and classroom.
- Assist in remedial training.
- Perform and observed behavior assessments (in cab and remote).
- Train and assist drivers Post Incident.
- Help to implement new programs and ways to improve the program.
- Ensure all road tests are completed to our standards and compliance.
- Attend all company required meetings.
- Determine appropriate instructional methods.
- Assist in the development of training material.
- Additional responsibilities and tasks are required when 'asked.
- Provide support to new and current driver group.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational, problem solving, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with the Microsoft programs and operating systems
- Full understanding of DOT Regulations
- Analytical and Problem-Solving skills
- Hands-on attitude with a can-do attitude wanting to succeed in the role
- Self-motivated and can work at a fast pace
- Able to operate a variety of commercial vehicles with Air Brake Endorsement
- Able to operate both manual and automatic shifting transmissions
- Waste industry experience is an asset
- Able to adjust to a dynamic schedule
- General Education Diploma Required
- Minimum 10 years driving experience
- FLEET Driver Trainer certification
- Minimum 2 years driver trainer experience
- Preferred to possess a valid Commercial Driver's License
