- Develops training content and delivers in-person and virtual instruction to the defense security enterprise, cleared industry, and insider threat practitioners across the U.S
- Provides support through planning, coordination, implementation, and maintenance for current and emerging security certification programs.
- Serves as a recognized and authoritative Insider Threat consultant, provider of training for the protection of national security, and performs other sensitive duties required by DOD with respect to counterintelligence.
- Provides authoritative guidance to students, security specialists in the field, and the professional DOD security community at large.
- Advises in the planning, coordination, and execution of Insider Threat training programs, products, and services throughout analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation and delivery.
- Ensures the CDSE Insider Threat training curriculum aligns with defined security skill standards, meets national training standards, and current DOD and ODNI policy
- Must attain and maintain the CDSE Instructor Certification at the Basic levels within 24 months of initiation of the Instructor Certification Program.
- Industrial Security, Information Security, Personnel Security/Vetting (including Adjudications, Security, Suitability, and Credentialing), Physical Security, General Security, or Special Access Programs will require the employee to attain and maintain the DOD Security Professional Education Development Program (SPeD) Security Fundamentals Professional Certification and Security Asset Protection Professional Certification within 24 months of hire.
- If assigned as an Industry Security, Physical Security, or Special Access Programs Subject Matter consultant, the incumbent must successfully attain and maintain the applicable specialty certification (Industrial Security Oversight Certification (ISOC), Physical Security Certification or Special Program Security (SPC) Certification (SPSC) within 24 months of hire.
- The Insider Threat discipline will require the employee to attain and maintain one of the DOD Certified Counter Insider Threat Professionals certifications within 24 months of hire

- Developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs;
- Evaluating counterintelligence, security, education, or training programs;
- Counterintelligence and/or Insider Threat program management, policies, and implementation;
- Counterintelligence experience, including practical applications to security and security countermeasures, awareness and reporting, new developments, policies, and program procedures;
- Demonstrated interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, to include public speaking
- Analyze processes/programs and interpret results in assessing training and education requirements
- Deliver, provide, and monitor training and education for individuals and groups within learning environments
- Support activities that protect against espionage, other intelligence activities, sabotage, or assassinations conducted for or on behalf of foreign powers, organizations or persons, or terrorist activities
- Conduct assessments on threats and vulnerabilities, determine the level of risk, and develop and recommend appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and non-operational situations
- Apply protocols and procedures to ensure safety requirements are met, and establish a learning environment that promotes positive interactions, collaboration, and sustainment of learners' interest
