- Mow lawns, trim edges, and maintain sprinkler systems;
- Remove snow and spread salt in designated areas;
- Care for lawns by mulching, aerating, and weeding;
- Utilize hand tools for various tasks;
- Prune trees, shrubs, and hedges;
- Clean grounds and maintain equipment;
- Mix and apply fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides;
- Ensure proper upkeep of grounds features and facilities;
- Prepare sites and eliminate hazards;
- Assist in maintenance and repair of city-owned structures;
- Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks;
- Take care of room maintenance, plumbing, welding, and painting tasks;
- Participate in maintaining athletic fields;
- Provide excellent customer service;
- Assist in building maintenance projects;
- Obtain price quotes for materials;
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Commercial Driver's License preferred;
- Restricted use Pesticide Certification;
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid certification.
- Experience in maintenance work or relevant training;
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting, and vision requirements. Must be able to lift heavy objects.
