Senior Cloud Engineer (Remote)

We have an immediate need for a contract-to-hire Senior Cloud Engineer to join a leading cybersecurity organization in the healthcare space. The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions that meet the organization's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud technologies, a strong background in infrastructure automation, and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex cloud projects.

Location: Remote working Eastern Time Zone hour

This job expects to pay about $70 – 80 per hour plus benefits.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the design and architecture of cloud infrastructure solutions, that are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable, and cost optimized.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and develop comprehensive cloud architecture designs for cloud migration projects.
• Evaluate new cloud services, tools, and technologies to identify opportunities for enhancing our cloud environment.
• Design and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies to automate provisioning and configuration processes.
• Manage and optimize cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor cloud resources and services, analyze performance metrics, and implement optimizations to improve resource utilization and reduce costs.

What Gets You The Job:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing complex cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures and multi-cloud environments.
• Expertise in cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure, including services like EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Fluency in at least one scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, etc.).
• Extensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc.
• Experience with serverless computing technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
• Experience with big data technologies those include Hadoop, Spark and Kafka.
