    Medical Office Assistant

    Pride Health is seeking Medical Office Assistant for one of the large health systems based out of Kansas City, MO.

    Job Title - Medical Office Assistant

    Location – Kansas City, Missouri

    Length of Assignment – 3 months (With Possible extension)

    Shift – Mon-Fri; 9:30 am-6 pm

    Pay Range - $16 - $18 per hour (based upon experience)

    Job Summary

    The Medical Office Assistant performs various clerical duties and front office operations in support of the patient care activities.

    Job Duties

    • Greets visitors and answers telephones.
    • May collect Copays, close the Cash Drawer, and prepare month-end deposits.
    • Collects initial demographic and clinical patient information and accurately enters it into the medical record.
    • Compiles and prepares charts.
    • Assists with coordinating and executing patient scheduling including confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling.

    Requirements

    • High School Graduate or equivalent education and experience required.
    • 1+ years of customer service experience within a medical or business setting.
    • Knowledge of basic medical technology
    • Familiar with insurance
    • Experience with customers in hospitals or insurance offices.
    • Cerner and Rev Cycle.
