    Who We Need
    We're looking for someone with the following skills, experience and credentials:
    • Assesses and documents pertinent consumer information.
    • Plans consumer treatment.
    • Intervenes psychotherapeutically, psycho pharmacologically, physiologically.
    • Provides consumer education demonstrating knowledge of adult psychiatric treatment.
    • Demonstrates knowledge of co-occurring treatment.
    • Maintains a clean and safe environment.
    • Manages pharmaceuticals and medical supplies.
    • Documents all activities in the clinical record according to policy using approved forms.
    • Practices according to evidence-based practices and DBHS Performance Improvement Protocols and Technical Assistance Documents as posted on DBHS web site.
    • Practices according to the recovery model and Arnold v. Sarn principles; knows and practices engagement skills including motivational interviewing; and assists consumers to define and achieve their own recovery goals.
    • Identifies potential barriers to quality care and opportunities for improvement and reports them to Lead Nurse.
    • Participates in UM and QI activities as required.
    • To ensure compliance & adequate services, additional job duties may be required to meet the needs of the program and or department.
    Job requirements

    Education: Graduate from an accredited Nursing program with licensure by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse.

    Licensures: Registered Professional Nurse.

    Relevant Work Experience: One year prior psychiatric or behavioral health experience with adults with serious mental illnesses or children or adolescents with serious emotional disturbances or developmentally disabled. Community based experience preferred.
