Essential Functions Assists park and/or Aquatic Center patrons with food and beverage needsCash handling of concession fundsMaintain concession and restroom inventoryMaintain concession stands, equipment and restroom facility sanitationPerforms all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies and proceduresWorks in a safe manner and reports unsafe activities, conditions and faulty equipmentFollows City-wide safety policy and practices and adheres to responsibilities concerning safety prevention, reporting and monitoring as outlined in the City's Loss Control HandbookPerforms all other duties as assigned Minimum or Preferred Qualifications Minimum QualificationsMust be at least sixteen (16) years of ageMust have a valid Missouri Driver's License or ability to obtain upon employmentMust have reliable transportation to and from workMust obtain certification as a food handler through the Jackson County Health Department immediately upon employmentPreferred QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED equivalencyOne (1) or more years concession or food service experienceConcession or food service supervisory experienceA certified food handler through the Jackson County Health Department Supplemental Information Knowledge of:Food preparation and serviceCash handling and reporting practices Ability to:Count moneyCommunicate effectively with customersFollow written and oral instructionsOperate hand cleaning equipment including, but not limited to, brooms, dust and wet mops, squeegees, hand vacuums, dust pans, and dustersCommunicate effectively with other employeesWork a non-traditional and flexible work schedule Skills in:CommunicationCash managementFood preparationFacility and equipment sanitationSupervision ReceivedThe work is performed under the supervision of the Concessions ManagerSupervision ExercisedNoneWork EnvironmentThe primary duties of this position are performed in an indoor-outdoor public building environment and include use of electrically powered equipment and cleaning substances that may involve related hazardsEssential Physical AbilitiesSufficient strength to lift and carry objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds for varying distances, maneuver powered equipmentStand for periods of time as directed through the schedule, and to adapt to and move between work stations and job tasks on a single shiftSufficient body flexibility and balance to perform cleaning operations which require repeated bending and stooping motionsSufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodationSufficient clarity of hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to discern and dispense verbal instructions and interact with the general publicSufficient visual acuity, with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to comprehend written material and instructions and discern, supervise, and react to physical activitiesSufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to operate job related equipmentSufficient body flexibility, agility, and stamina to supervise recreational and sports activities and facilities.
