Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for maintaining financial transactions and records of Fleet Management Company. The office is located in Clear Lake, Iowa.

Reporting Structure:

The Accounting Specialist position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain customer information, lease agreements, and payment files
• Ensure proper execution and maintenance of lease agreements
• Generate and distribute lease invoices
• Process lease payments
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, and other financial records to ensure all transactions are accurate and accounted for
• Maintains records of financial transactions, including filing and organizing financial documents
• Set up and oversee ACH (autopay) processes
• Resolve customer payment discrepancies
• Record payments in QuickBooks
• Partners with accounting and leasing departments
• Provide support to both the accounting and leasing teams
• Monitor delinquent accounts and follow up on outstanding lease payments
• Handle incoming calls and address inquiries
• Assist in additional projects and tasks

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively within a team
• Previous experience in automotive industry a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Office, QuickBooks, and Teams
• Excellent customer service, email etiquette, and communication skills
• Capacity to handle sensitive and confidential information
