    Summary



    This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Operational Support Division, Office of Forensic Sciences, Forensic Sciences Instruction Section.

    This position(s) primary purpose is to design, develop, implement, and evaluate Forensic Sciences informational and instructional products to be delivered in a classroom setting or through distance learning platforms using e-learning training tools, applications, systems, platforms and new and emerging learning technology.

    As a Instructional Systems Specialist your typical work assignments may include:

    • Designing appropriate training format and delivery methods for Chemistry, Friction Ridge, and Digital Evidence training areas based on reviewing and analyzing related audience, requirements, and objectives.
    • Utilizing and possessing knowledge of a variety of automated systems/programs (Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Pro, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Link, SCORM, ACADIS) and other computer applications to design, develop, and deliver all training programs in a classroom and e-learning environment.
    • Performing quality assurance reviews of existing training programs and processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal laws, regulations, and policies and procedures.
    • Applying an understanding and knowledge of detailed logistical support and information necessary to ensure that targeted training area program requirements are effectively executed in the conduct of training sessions.
    • Developing database tools and reports that can be used as a management tool to analyze feedback, evaluate results and recommend curriculum changes, enhancements, and additional course development.
