- Subject matter expert on interconnection procedures for NC, SC, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) jurisdiction projects.
- Become subject matter expert on Interconnection Cluster study cost and withdrawal penalty cost allocation requirements defined in state and federal interconnection regulations. Maintain cost allocation models to allocate study and withdrawal penalty credits as prescribed in interconnection procedures.
- Become subject matter expert in Transmission Provider study penalties as defined in FERC Order 2023 and allocation of penalty credits back to interconnection customers.
- Create project IDs in Powerplan for Cluster studies and communicate guidance to Transmission, Distribution and Grid Integration.
- Serve as data analyst in executing Cost Allocation Reporting Tool (CART) application project plan, a first in kind in-house tool being developed to track and report on estimate revisions, calculate cost allocation to facilities, and track project financial data.
- Create data upload files of project information and estimate revisions to load data into CART, maintaining a calendar of data uploads required based on phase in the interconnection process.
- Provide data governance to ensure CART is kept to-date with latest study and financial project information.
- Participate in further design of the CART application in the technology roadmap.
- Prepare financial true-up analysis for state and FERC jurisdiction projects comparing interconnection customer deposits to allocated portion of actual costs for that completed study or have withdrawn from interconnection queue.
- Maintain interest calculation model for refunding FERC interconnection customers. Calculate quarterly interest accrual for FERC projects in construction for future repayment.
- Monitor and analyze cluster study costs and collaborate with lines of business to ensure costs are captured prior to customer billing.
- Create and analyze required reports for leadership including calculating KPI metrics and driving actions resulting from metric results.
- Support implementation of new interconnection management system by participating in process mapping, data readiness, and other implementation requirements.
- Perform data clean-up activities in relevant source systems supporting the interconnection queue and evolving KPI and financial reporting needs.
- Facilitate business process discussions with business stakeholders across multiple departments creating process maps and establishing roles and responsibilities as new business needs arise.
- Support development of new reporting and PowerBI dashboard requests.
- Explore transformation ideas for future true-up automation opportunities and establish roadmap to achieve transformation.
- Advanced Excel proficient skills including use of complex formulas including pivot tables,vlookup,sumif, multiple if statements, arrays, etc.
