Job summary
The Site Tech II is responsible for small projects including mowing weed eating seeding planting weed control equipment maintenance snow and ice control asphalt or concrete work brick or stonework demolition grading and/or site cleanup tasks.Apart from that all the cultivation and care of the landscaping and grounds of Liberty University Operates lawn mowers and other related equipment Any other duties as assigned Working independently exercising good judgment discretion.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities As Essential Personnel you are expected to be available in the event of school closings delays shutdowns emergencies clean up required because severe weather incidents Grounds employees essential overall success Commencement May Orientation Move-in August weekend events special events scheduled facilities year must be available work schedule unscheduled hours emergency needs arise Performs snow removal activities assigned shoveling salting etc Reports work required time performs duties assigned Grounds Supervisor Site Technician III/ Lead Responsible wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment PPE operating Grounds related equipment eye wear ear protection hard hat gloves steel-toed boots respirators masks reflective safety vests sunscreen Responsible wearing harness lanyard PPE operating aerial lifts perform complete assigned jobs Works employees Performed planting related activities Routine lawn maintenance grass cutting lawn edging pulling weeds routine lawn-maintenance activities Uses mower related equipment Provides seasonal lawn care spring fall clean-up Moves materials equipment assists landscaping hardscaping Digs holes trenches excavates landscaping hardscaping picks shovels related equipment Hauls spreads topsoil gravel sand mulch rakes Hand finishes grade apply seed straw sod Applies chemicals direction licensed chemical applicator Maintains assigned equipment notifies Landscaping Supervisor needed repairs Responds customer inquiries projects professional image Operates light heavy-duty vehicles riding mowers backhoes push/ riding mowers rakes blowers sprayers chain saw hydraulic boom tools turf care For project completed ensure fully inspected all secured put away blockades ropes tape Work closely entire Landscaping/Grounds Teams phases ground maintenance weeding mulching tasks Work support new plantings plant removal.
