Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controller to join our property management company. As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to provide accurate and timely financial information to management
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for daily operations and long-term investments
Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory reports
Manage the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial analysis to support decision-making
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
Supervise and mentor accounting staff to ensure high-quality work and professional development
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA certification preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a management role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
