- Develop customized therapy plans that address both immediate goals and long-term objectives, prioritizing effective communication, cognitive function, and swallowing abilities.
- Deliver evidence-based speech therapy sessions focused on language development, fluency, voice, and swallowing rehabilitation, tailored to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families, to ensure seamless care and foster a unified approach.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting continued progress and empowerment beyond the therapy setting.
- Support inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring continuity of care throughout the recovery journey.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to state, federal, and institutional standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) awarded by ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of joining.
