    Position Summary

    Under direct supervision of the Inventory Control Supervisor, enhances effectiveness by performing a variety of Shipping & Receiving duties and tasks. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform clerical work required in the receiving of goods in a warehouse setting.
  • eceives telephone calls and provides information related to warehoused items and activities as required.
  • Receives and verifies the shipment against the purchase order for deliveries from all distributors.
  • Processes, reviews, and records incoming materials, supplies or equipment to appropriate requestor.
  • Operates hand held remote terminals for a sourcing and materials management system.
  • Prepares forms and maintains records dealing with shipments received discrepancies and damaged merchandise.
  • Prepares and files logs for record of delivery.
  • Prepares labels for outgoing packages requested by department.
  • Issues or cancels receiver numbers when requested.
  • Closes work orders in tracking system.
  • Assists with inventories as needed.
  • Reviews all internal/external requisitions and make changes when necessary.
  • Enters all food, paper, and liquor invoices into a sourcing and materials management system.
  • Runs daily/monthly requisition reports from a sourcing and materials management system.
  • Reviews End of Month activity reports.
  • Reviews, issues, process, and close all shipping and receiving work orders.
  • Greets, issues, and assigns badges for vendors and informs the appropriate contact.
  • Performs other duties as required.

    Minimum QualificationsEducation And Experience

    High School Diploma or GED plus one (1) year clerical or shipping, receiving and/or inventory experience; or Certificate of completion of the Warehouse/Receiving Intern Training.; . Candidate must pass basic computer test. Must be able demonstrate proficiency in grammar, spelling, math, and filing. Must be 18 years of age or older. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, background investigation, obtain and maintain a gaming license and to include the following:

  • Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of shipping and receiving.
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
  • Must have good communication skills and ability to deal with the public.
  • Ability to demonstrate ability and knowledge in processing inventory transactions through an automated material management system and hand-held terminals with bar code technology.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in math, and filing.
  • Ability to communicate, read, and write clearly in basic English.
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service at all times.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and with team members at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in verbal or written format.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
