DIRECTOR INBOUND LOGISTICS

SUMMARY:
Direct vendor activities for an online and retail business. Manage and maintain business relationships, direct inbound logistics with all overseas vendors, oversee product manufacturing, and manage inventory.

The position requires directing the flow of merchandise from all overseas vendors to DK fulfillment centers, operations facilities, and retail shops in the United States.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and supervise the logistics of the Fulfillment Center and International 3PL Operation Facility.
Create, implement, and manage logistic processes for all inbound shipments coming from overseas.
Develop and manage strong vendor relationships to negotiate timely delivery of goods to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Draft, audit, review, and submit manifest documentation, forms and reports to DHS, CBP (U.S. Customs) provided by vendors to import with minimal delays into the U.S. and to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Establish specific supply chain based performance measurement systems.

Oversee process improvements and implementation of Anvyl (Supply Chain Platform), that provides full visibility of the entire supply chain system between suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, and internal systems to deliver a single source of truth.

Enhance connectivity, tracking and transparency with real-time access and information. Direct integration with our ERP system (finance and payment) end-to-end visibility of order timelines.
Responsible for the drafting of real data reports for optimal decision maker actions at executive and managerial level.

Analyze all aspects of corporate supply chain logistics to determine the fastest, most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products or supplies.

Gathering and organizing information on business operations and problems to resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports/exports, and customer issues.

Plan or implement energy saving changes to transportation services, such as reducing routes, optimizing capacities, employing alternate modes of transportation, or minimizing idling.

Evaluate contractors or business partners for operational efficiency and negotiate better rates.


EDUCATIONAL AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess 5 years experience in logistics and e-commerce, 2 of which as a manager using Anvyl or similar supply chain visibility platform.

$156K per year.
