    Invenia Group is partnering with a manufacturer of scientific reagents, instruments and services that are being used to accelerate scientific discovery.

    Research applications include next-generation sequencing, gene discovery and editing, proteomics etc.

    Due to growth, the company is looking to hire a Manager of Technical Communications to join their team in San Jose, CA.

    This is an office-based role, however, the company has the flexibility to make it a hybrid role for experienced candidates.

    Candidates will be joining a stable company that values their employees and develops their skills and careers.


    The role:
    This position will be responsible for managing a team of 10 which includes marketing content writers and technical writers.

    It will be accountable for delivering quality content that successfully conveys marketing messages and complex technical information to prospects, customers, and partners.

    Additionally, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of efficient production workflows and tools within the daily marketing process to achieve marketing excellence.


    Responsibilities include:
    Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
    Set clear goals and expectations for team members and monitor progress.

    Ensure work is delivered on time and to a high qualityAssign projects, manage stakeholder expectations, and maintain relationships with third-party contractors or agencies.

    Recruit team members and provide training and onboarding for new team members to ensure smooth integration into the technical communication team.

    Work with the Director of Digital Marketing to develop and implement content marketing strategies for the technical communication team.

    Evaluate, recommend, and develop documentation processes and assist with the development of an internal writing style guide and companys tone of voice.

    Ensure documentation complies with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
    Collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify expectations, and provide updates on documentation projects.
    Regularly report on documentation metrics and use data to drive continuous improvement efforts.
    Implement quality control processes to ensure all documentation meets established company standards.


    What we are looking for:
    Bachelors or masters degree in technical communications, marketing, or a related field.
    Proven experience in managing technical communications teams, preferably in the biomedical or life science industries.
    Managed a team of 5+ people.
    Excellent interpersonal and verbal skills, with a strong understanding of go-to-market messaging, preferably in the life science industry.
    Experience managing projects and can prioritize and manage expectations across multiple, complex projects/priorities.
    Working knowledge of Google Adwords, Marketo Email Automation platform, and e-commerce platforms is preferred.


    Package:
    Salary is $125k- $135k per year depending on experience plus a 13% bonus and full benefits.#J-18808-Ljbffr
