    JOB SUMMARY To ensure safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles through preventive maintenance inspections, expert diagnosis, and timely repairs to minimize breakdowns, reduce downtime, and enhance fleet reliability.
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within scheduled time frames
    • Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles
    • Execute preventive maintenance inspections
    • Carry out necessary maintenance repairs
    • Address Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups promptly
    • Diagnose and repair malfunctions
    • Document all work performed
    • Utilize Sysco computer programs efficiently
    • Proficient in electrical meter testing
    • Carry out electrical repairs and welding projects as necessary
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training
    • High school diploma or GED required
    Experience
    • 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
    • Current and valid driver's license
    Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
    • Annual Inspector Certification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Brake Inspector Certification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • ASE certifications
    • 609 HVAC Certification
    Professional Skills
    • Computer-based diagnostic software knowledge
    • Provide necessary tools for maintenance and repair
    • Expertise in vehicle systems and components
    • Diagnosis and repair of electrical systems
    • Preventive Maintenance Inspections
    • Welding and cutting skills
    • Basic computer skills
    • Knowledge of DOT regulations
    • Understanding of OSHA safety and environmental regulations
    Physical Demands
    • Various physical requirements including lifting, bending, reaching
    • Operate equipment and tools
    • Repetitive motions
    Work Environment
