BFS (Built from Scratch) is a cannabis startup looking to disrupt the cannabis industry and bring something unprecedented to the Chicago market. Founded by Matthew Brewer and Jessica Lee, both Chicago natives from the South Side. Black- and women-owned, we are a dream team of entrepreneurs, hospitality operators, lawyers, business and community leaders who are committed to making this industry accessible to people from all walks of life. We operate the Grasshopper Club Dispensary in Logan Square and expanding across Chicago.

Grasshopper Club started with a family from the South Side of Chicago and their vision to create a local dispensary that goes beyond merely selling flower. As a Chicago-born, Black-owned business, our mission is rooted in heritage and legacy. Apart from delivering premium curated products and personalized service, we're committed to building career paths and ownership opportunities within Grasshopper Club to create a more diverse ecosystem in the industry.
