    Associate, Finance

    Reporting to the Director, Finance and Senior Director, Asset Development, the candidate will be responsible for financial modeling and analysis for a variety of both corporate development and senior management reporting initiatives. This position presents a challenging opportunity to participate in a leading growth-oriented organization in a role core to key corporate initiatives while gaining exposure and understanding of the renewable energy industry.

    Responsibilities
    • Corporate
      • Lead corporate financial modeling for the company's strategic initiatives as well as senior management reporting including fund valuation
      • Actively participate with senior management in the business forecasting process, including strategic decision-making analysis and coordination with various stakeholders across the organization
    • Asset Development
      • Lead wind, solar, energy storage, and hybrid facility asset modeling and valuation including asset development and capital structure analysis in support of project development, investment, and finance decisions
      • Assist with due diligence related to asset development, financing, ad-hoc analyses and presentations on financial and operating results, investor queries and special projects
    • Liase with various internal functions and subject matter experts, including external contractors, in support of developing and vetting input assumptions for project and corporate models
    • Company and asset monitoring using industry key performance indicators including comparable firm and asset metrics
    Requirements
    • Excellent financial modeling skillset and experience with various forms of financial instruments preferably including both asset-level and corporate debt
    • Demonstrated ability to draw insights from information and convey complex information in a straightforward manner
    • Strong written communication skills to convey technical financial concepts and performance analysis in a clear and concise manner
    • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with and build relationships with a diverse group at all levels of the organization
    Qualifications
    • Post-secondary education in quantitative, economics, or business-related degree
    • Minimum three (3) years of related work experience
    • Formal financial modeling training through investment banking program or similar
    • Background of in-depth financial analysis
    • Self-motivated with demonstrated initiative
    • Energy sector experience not required but highly valued
    Education
    • Bachelors or better in quantitative or business related degree
    Licenses & Certifications
    • Recognized professional designation such as CFA or CPA viewed favorably
    Salary: $110,000 - $130,000
