    Description
    Job Description:
    • With guidance from the supervisor, assists technical personnel in general laboratory and greenhouse operations in handling tasks in support of scientific research.
    • Perform tasks according to accepted methods and training prescribed by the work group.
    • Assist in the execution of plant sample tissue collection in the field and greenhouse.
    • Prepare and process tissue samples (Lyophilize tissue, weighing of lyophilized tissues, cleaning of equipment, lab organization, inventory etc).
    • Supports submission of tissue samples for analysis.
    • Assist in maintaining a database for tissue sample tracking.
    • Assist in communicating with research personnel, expression laboratories, and field teams.
    • Work with Greenhouse lead and assist greenhouse activities (Tissue sampling and submission, cleaning, plant movement and organization).
    • Supports assay lead in insect assay/ experiments and data collection.
    • Assist lead in conducting laboratory and greenhouse assay experiments, assay development and assay optimization.
    • Coordinate with team leads in planning and execution of assays and laboratory works (cleaning, maintenance, etc).
