    **Sign-on Bonus**

    A $1000 sign-on bonus is available for candidates not currently employed or employed within the last six months by North Memorial Health, Blaze Health, or Maple Grove Hospital. $500 will be paid upon hire and $500 will be paid after one year of employment. If employment is terminated prior to the one-year commitment is complete, a prorated amount will be required to be paid back.

    **About This Position**

    Transports non-critically ill children, adolescents, adults and geriatric customers from location of call to a hospital or appropriate medical facility. The EMT-EMR Driver position is the entry position for EMTs looking to function within the BLS and/or ALS environment within the Metro Division.

    **Accountabilities**

    Provides safe customer transport and assists in customer care.

    Renders emergency care consistent with training, standing orders, and medical needs of the customer and only under the direct supervision of an EMT or Paramedic.

    Complies with regulations on the handling of the customers, caretakers, and property.

    Establishes and uses proper radio communication with dispatch.

    Operates vehicles safely and in accordance with Minnesota State Law and department policies.

    Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.

    Demonstrates proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.

    Maintains skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list.

    Compliance

    Recognizes and complies with legal regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.

    Understands and follows principles and standards as outlined in North Memorials Corporate Code of Conduct.

    Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer and/or team member related information as needed to perform job duties.

    Reports violations or areas of concern to supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication.

    **Education**

    High school graduate or equivalent (e.g., GED) required.

    **Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**

    Previous EMS experience preferred.

    **Licensure/Certification Mandatory**

    Valid Class D drivers license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record. Driver must be at least 18 years of age and have not less than one year of experience as a licensed driver.

    MnDOT certification required (This will be provided during the hiring process, and is not required at the time of application.).

    Hours per two week pay period: 80

    Shift: Day/Evening Variable

    Weekend Requirement: Weekends by Department Rotation
