DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONReporting to the Chief of Hospitalist Medicine and Service Line Administrator the Hospitalist Office Manager (or Coordinator) is responsible for managing the daily operations and advanced clerical support for BMC Hospitalist Program (including NARH).

The Hospitalist Coordinator / Manager is responsible for contributing to the achievement of divisional goals by simultaneous oversight of multiple special projects under the direction (as assigned) of / by the Chief Hospitalist.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of broad experience in the healthcare industry.
Must have a clear understanding of the healthcare industry as it relates to Hospitalist Medicine. In particular experience in engaging and collaborating with providers, management and staff in projects and initiatives is required.
Detailed familiarity Meditech.
Supervisory experience preferred.

Education and Training:
Associate degree in business administration or related field required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

License, Certification & Registration:

N/AOther Requirements:
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Proven ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients, and other health care providers.
Demonstrated ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
Ability to work independently to reach practice goals.

Proven ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple job tasks on a daily basis to meet the needs of the practice.

Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Polaris and provider scheduling software is required.
