    designs, manufactures and distributes patented and proprietary high performance Microfluidizer

    materials processing and formulation equipment to the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetics/personal care, and food industries.

    Microfluidics applies its 28 years of high pressure processing experience to produce the most uniform and smallest liquid and suspended solid particles available, and has provided manufacturing systems for nanoparticle products for more than 15 years.


    Position Summary:


    The Field Service Engineer will provide installation, maintenance, and repair of our company line process equipment utilizing both onsite and phone support.

    In addition, the field service engineer will leverage their relationships with outside sales representatives, inside technical support, senior field service peers, as well as their entrepreneurial work ethic to provide excellent customer support to our worldwide customer base.


    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Make preparations for and perform installations, train our customers on operations of our MF products.
    Must be proficient in break/ fix repairs in assisting our customers on site and over the phone.
    Must be capable of performing tests with customer sample materials aimed at demonstrating the performance of the equipment.
    Must be able to perform maintenance procedures on MF machines as well as train customers in this process.

    Need to work proactively with the North American sales agents and distributors to support them to promote sales of services.

    Proactively communicate/report within the company and with customers in North America respecting processes and written forms to be used in order to ensure excellent technical support to Microfluidics' customers.

    The FSE must comply with IDEX company policies/ethics and present themselves in a friendly, polite and confident manner. They are to dress accordingly and perform their work punctually, accurately and be reliable to our customer and HQ.
    The FSE position will require 75% plus travel nationwide and international travel occasionally.

    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's or Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
    3+ years of experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical equipment.
    Experience troubleshooting complex instrumentation and generating test requirements and procedures.
    Experience working in lab and/or industrial environment.
    Must have proven ability to manage multiple projects, customer requests, and travel schedules.
    Customer focused with a proven track record of excellent customer satisfaction.
    Must be competent in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office & Windows Server
    Must be fluent in English, spoken and written. Other languages are a plus.
