    Position Summary: Automation Engineering Intern – 2024 Summer Internship Program

    Location: Nashua, NH

    Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEM's globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking an Automation Engineering Intern to join our team. The position will be located in Nashua, NH.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    This role supports the Automation Engineering group. Job functions will include assisting in writing scope of work documents, designing, processing and analysis of testing results, and deploying tooling and automation. Candidates will work closely with the Automation Engineering group to support the development, fabrication, and build of prototypes.

    What you'll do:

    Gain Experience

    • Support the product design effort in tooling and automation through analysis, testing, and deployment.
    • Machining and prototype design through engineering software
    • Work closely with internal and external suppliers and manufacturing personnel
    • Supporting the development and automation of prototypes
    • Interfacing with customers and other engineering disciplines in the design and manufacturing process of interconnect products

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    A good candidate should be at least a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Automation Engineering programs.

    • Experience with solid modeling tools (Pro-E, Creo)
    • Experience with machining and automation are a plus
    • Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical people
    • Ability to work in team environment
