    Job Description

    The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for a Manager, Fiscal and Human Resources (HR) for the College of Engineering.

    The Manager, Fiscal and HR assists the Assistant Dean, Administration for the College with financial and human resource functions within the unit.

    This position supports financial management by preparing, monitoring, and amending budgets in alignment with policies and award restrictions, and providing guidance to managers regarding account requests.

    This position supports human resource functions by serving as the delegated approval authority for HCM business processes, auditing HR reports for compliance, recommending solutions for personnel issues, overseeing unit and departmental recruitments, and preparing exception requests for submission to the Executive for approval.

    Comp Grade B1
    Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and two (2) years of related experience;


    OR
    Master's Degree from an accredited institution and one (1) year of related experience.

    Related experience:
    A combination of fiscal and human resources experience or a related field.

    For the past two years, all of our ranking-eligible graduate programs have been ranked by the U.S. News & World Report, and in the most recent calendar year, new research funding surpassed $25 million. In Fall 2020, the new 100,000-square-foot William N. Pennington Engineering Building opened.

    With its 150 graduate workstations, 40 laboratories and ISO Class 5 (Class 100) cleanroom, it enables our students and faculty to continue to build on the College's robust tradition of excellence in pursuit of high-impact research that improves lives in our state, across our nation and around the world.
