Metallurgical Engineer

Amotec is seeking a talented Metallurgical Engineer to join a dynamic team at a leading steel manufacturer near Indianapolis, IN. As a Metallurgical Engineer specializing in Mill operations, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical expertise to enhance our operations, drive quality improvements, product development and ensure customer satisfaction.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize production parameters and enhance product quality/development
• Conducting metallurgical analyses to support product development and manufacturing processes
• Assist in the development of new products and process enhancements
• Providing technical support to production teams and participating in process, quality, and cost improvements

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Bachelor's in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science
• Proven experience with Product development or process development within the steel manufacturing (Sheet or Pipe & Tube)
• Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes, materials, and quality control
