Job Description
The Cardiac Sonographer will perform echocardiograms to assess various cardiac pathologies, including congenital and valvular heart diseases. The role involves patient care, image acquisition, documentation of findings, assisting in procedures, and responding to emergency examinations.
Responsibilities
Perform echocardiograms to assess cardiac pathology.
Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort throughout examinations.
Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart.
Maintain patient records and document findings from tests.
Support physicians during invasive procedures when necessary.
Respond to emergency examinations in various healthcare settings.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
BLS certification.
RDCS or RCS certification.
Education typically requires an associate's or bachelor's degree in diagnostic medical sonography or a related field.
High-level technical proficiency in performing and interpreting echocardiograms.
Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
