    General Purpose:


    Field Applications Engineer (FAE) supports for key Multek Rigid, Flexible and Rigid/Flex PCB accounts of Commercial and Industrial market segments.

    The FAE organization is a globally targeted resource, responsible for providing technical support to a broad customer base.


    Principle Accountabilities/Duties:
    Technical Sales Support for regional Global Account Managers and Business Development teams
    Serve a liaison between manufacturing and customer during project development
    Provide early preliminary Design Review to help optimizing customers' designs for manufacturing, with a focus on Manufacturability, Performance and Cost
    Provide technical presentations, both internally and externally detailing business and technical content
    Assist customers as a technical resource in selection of design standards, material, production capabilities and industry standard practices
    Conduct comprehensive design review and provide feedbacks to customers on products production readiness and areas of improvement
    Assist as a communication liaison between the customers and manufacturing sites, with a focus on regional culture, language and time zone
    Communicate customers' current and future technology requirements to manufacturing, which assist in driving production technology to meet today' s evolving market challenges
    Perform technical tasks such as DFM Analysis, Stack-up generation, Quality Review and Gap Analysis strategy
    Team with Operations to conduct NPI, QTA, and various product stage-gate design-build cycles on schedule
    Must develop customer technology roadmap requirements and seek out new adjacent opportunities
    Must develop key executive relationships with customers' engineering and product design organizations and the Multek executive team

    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

    • A BA/BS degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or 10 years of equivalent industry experience is required. A focus on electrical engineering, materials engineering, or mechanical engineering is a plus
    A minimum of 2 years related of rigid and rigid-flex PCB manufacturing experience
    Specific experience in key market segments, such as Consumer Electronics, MCM, RF Applications, Infrastructure, Automotive and Industrial segments is a plus
    Must understand the technology requirements, quality and reliability standards and product qualifications procedures
    Proven in-depth understanding of product design and resultant PCB stack-up solutions.
    Understanding of DFM Analysis software and Stack-up simulation software, such as InPlan, InStack, Genesis, InCAM and/or CAM350.
    Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
    This position requires domestic and international travel which may be up to 40% during specific project stages time
    Must be responsible and self-motivated individual
    Required to be street smart and provide feedback on the industry, competition, and market conditions.
