    Rescue Network is hiring a part-time driver and kennel cleaner for our dogs and cats in Minnesota
    The driver will drive a company-provided vehicle (Ram Promaster) with a company card for gas. Van is located in Brooklyn Park, MN and will need to be picked up and dropped off at the end of the shift.

    One day a week (Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday - day is TBD with 2 weeks in advance). Picking up animals from fosters (usually within the south metro, but occasionally may be in other locations) and bringing to our vet partner in Coon Rapids, Maple Grove, and on rare occasions, St. Cloud. Drop off times are 7am. Once they are done at the vet, which can vary between 1-4pm, the animals will need to be brought back to the fosters initial meeting spot.

    Additionally, up to twice a month on a Friday, the driver will be required to bring the van to Beresford, SD to pick up dogs and cats. You must be in Beresford, SD at 1:30pm and help unload/load animals from the vet and into the van. Once completed, you will be required to bring the animals back to Maple Grove, MN where fosters and volunteers will meet (on occasion, there will be additional stops along the route). The van will then need to be dropped back off in Brooklyn Park once transport is complete.

    This position will need to bring the van in for any maintenance as needed to a shop in Buffalo, MN. Last you are required to clean the crates in the van once to twice a week. All cleaning supplies are provided. The van will be taken to a local car wash to clean all crates and putting crates back in preparation for the next transport. This can take roughly 1-2 hours.

    Responsibilities:
    • Transport animals to and from destinations.
    • Clean crates weekly.
    • Arrive at destination on schedule.
    • Assist with preparation of transport.
    • Assist with loading and unloading of dogs and cats from the van.
    • Understand and prioritize disease control protocols to maintain a clean and safe vehicle for the animals.

    Qualifications:
    • Must be 18.
    • Must have a valid drivers license and good driving record.
    • Must pass a background check.
    • Must love animals.
    • Assist with loading and unloading of dogs and cats from the van.
    • Always reliable.
    • Must be able to work outside in any kind of weather.
    • Can lift up to 50 pounds.
    • Strong service/communication skills.
    • Prior experience working in an animal related field is preferred (boarding, vet clinic, animal rescue/shelter, etc.)
    • Willing to drive longer hours.
    • Able and willing to professionally advocate Rescue Network's mission.
    • Ability to lift and handle animals of varying sizes and species.
