    Summary



    As a Deputy System Manager for Environmental Control and Life Support Systems with the Crew and Thermal Systems Division, you will demonstrate technical knowledge, perform highly in a team setting, effectively manage project schedule and budget, and be committed to designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining high quality hardware that will be used for various space applications.



    Duties

    • Supports hardware design, hazards analysis, sizing studies, buildup, execution, and the evaluation of test data for environmental control and life support systems.
    • Performs various functions such as, system management, cost analyses from a system management perspective, hardware and system design, and test and evaluations.
    • Assists with developing and presenting at a variety of institutional and programmatic forums with recommendations on project proposals and technical/cost/schedule statuses.
    • Utilizes life support systems engineering, including requirements development, technical resource management, engineering data management, interface definition, engineering planning and design integration.
    • Manages risk assessment, technical resource management, project planning, overall budget, requirements, and master project schedule.
    • Works with civil servant and contractor teams from feasibility through hardware design and certification for use.
