About the job

The IaaS Network Engineering team is looking for a Cloud Network Architect to design and build an AWS network architecture to meet the current and future needs of SAS' cloud hosting environments.

As an Cloud/AWS Network Architect, you will:

Design AWS network architectures in support of SAS' hosting business.
Assist with automation of AWS network solutions.
Document supported solutions for other network engineers, SAS architects and SAS pre-sales teams.
Work across IT teams to understand network requirements for various SAS solutions.

Required qualifications:

8+ years of experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field
Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
Expert level understanding of and experience with AWS network features/options (Firewall, Route53, transit gateway, application load balancer (ALB), security groups (SG), virtual private networks (VPC)).
Understanding of non-network AWS offerings and the impact of such offerings on network design (EC2, CloudWatch, EKS, Flow Logs, WAF).
Ability to architect an enterprise hybrid cloud network.
Experience with automation using Terraform, Ansible and/or Python to deploy and manage AWS resources.
General networking skills including: routing/switching, firewalls, load balancers, IPSEC site-to-site VPN.

Preferred qualifications

Experience with networking in Azure and/or GCP.
Experience with interconnecting multiple cloud provider environments.
Experience deploying or supporting DNS/DHCP services in an enterprise environment.
Experience with wireless networking, client VPN solutions, Cisco ISE.
