Job summary
The City of Indianola is currently welcoming applications for the position of Water Resource Recovery Operator or Apprentice. This position is responsible for a number of tasks, including operating treatment facilities, extracting samples and performing routine laboratory tests and analyses, operating wastewater equipment and pumping and cleaning bio-solids tanks.Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; preferably additional courses in chemistry or wastewater.
- Prefer one (1) year of experience as a skilled laborer in performing maintenance work.
- The apprentice is expected to secure an unrestricted Grade I and II Wastewater Operators Certification from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.
