    Position:
    Network Administrator - Mid- Senior (Contract to Hire)

    Location:
    Austin Texas (North Austin)

    Office:
    Onsite role with some remote daysHours:Rotating On-call schedule weekly. Outside the on-call week, the schedule is Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.


    Rate:
    67-70/hrContract:12-month contract to hire.

    Conversion salary $125-130K with 7% annual bonusKey Qualifications and Requirements:The Net Admin will maintain network hardware, build new interfaces, testing hardware, deployment.

    Router/Switch, Firewall, SDWAN, performing at times analytics, and reporting on network activity.

    Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data, configuration, or processing informationKnowledge of load balancing integration, design and implementation processesKnowledge of Active Directory, DNS and DHCP functionalityKnowledge of network protocols such as SNMP, multicast and 802.1x, 802.1q, 802.1dKnowledge of enterprise network securityKnowledge of Cisco, switches, routers, firewalls and VPN devicesKnowledge of enterprise hardware, i.e., x86 Microsoft Windows servers, storage (EMC, IBM, HP, PURE), mobile devices, Windows desktops and AppleKnowledge of enterprise software, i.e., VMWare, Active Directory, LDAP and MS ExchangeKnowledge of OS and networks, i.e., Windows server, iOS, Citrix, TCP/IP, L2/L3 switches, load balancing, firewalls and MS clustersKnowledge of MS Office Suite, SharePoint and VisioKnowledge of budgeting and procurement processes for network projectsAbility to follow architecture and design through to execution and stabilizationAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingCCNA, Cisco CCNP level Certification RequiredAdditional Preferred Skills and QualificationsUnified Computing System (UCS) CISCOKnowledge of Cisco, switches, routers, firewalls and VPN devices, other network / hardware vendors like Juniper and Alcatel/Lucent are good too.

    Knowledge experience doing configuration, maintaining CRITICAL INFRASTRCTURE (sectors; Utilities, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial Manufacturing that have Operation Technology Network hardware systems)Knowledge of load balancing integration, design and implementation processesKnowledge of network protocols such as SNMP, multicast and 802.1x, 802.1q, 802.1dKnowledge of enterprise network securityKnowledge of network monitoring (Solarwinds, Tripwire)Knowledge of Cisco, switches, routers, firewalls and VPN devices to include doing Configuration, installation, troubleshooting)Knowledge of OS and networks, i.e., Windows server, iOS, Citrix, TCP/IP, L2/L3 switches, load balancing, firewalls and MS clustersIndustrial Control System or SCADA related network experience strongly preferredNERC CIP v5 related experience preferred (not required)Need to have valid drivers license and own a car.

    Mileage reimbursement when doing site visits.


    PRESCREEN QUESTIONS:
    1. Do you have route/switch, firewall configuration/ design experience, trouble shooting, et al?2. Describe your experience in CRITICAL INFRASTRCUTURE network environment?3. What Cisco networking hardware, routers and switches are most experienced on and familiar?4. What other Networking hardware are you experienced configuring and maintaining, testing in lab prior to deployment? Juniper, Alcaltel/Lucent, etc.3. Do you SDWAN experience? The client is mid-flight update SDWAN.4. Have you supported/work in enterprise or large company with multi offices, WAN/LAN?5. Are you committed to working Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite or in the field reporting.

    Monday and Friday are remote days.6 Be aware like any Utility, there is an extensive background check and drug test and this role.


    Pay Details:
