    The Role You will Play

    • The Associate Actuary will provide pension consulting/actuarial services for various types of pension plans.
    • This role will reconcile and review pension valuation results including review of liabilities, sample lives, detailed gains/loss analysis, pricing tools and projection models.
    • The Associate Actuary is entrusted to manage projects on-budget and on-time.

    Community Highlights

    • This role can be based within the following areas Greater Metropolitan Philadelphia; Mount Laurel, NJ; New York City, NY; and McLean, VA.
    • Travel for client meetings required.

    Background Profile

    • 4+ years of pension actuarial experience
    • Expertise with all aspects of pension plans - single employer/ multiemployer and/or public sector
    • Working knowledge of Taft Hartley
    • Proficient in pension plan actuarial valuations including accounting reports, liability determination, funding analysis
    • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex actuarial issues clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience
    • Preferred experience in Proval, Access, SQL, and/or JAVA
    • FSA or ASA with interest to continue on to FSA, required
    • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university
