    DUTIES &


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    This position will be responsible for the supporting the network at Talos Energy including but not limited to:

    With limited supervision designs, constructs and implements complex technical segments of systems.
    Performs analysis and design of processes and systems with various business and technical environments.

    Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.

    Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.

    Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
    Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
    Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.
    Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.

    Assists application developers, Engineering teams and business partners in research, problem solving and investigation of new procedures, software, equipment and operational systems to determine their usefulness and applicability for business initiatives.

    Responsible for maintaining updates and upgrade for various systems.

    Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and softwareEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum of 5 years of network experience; oil and gas experience a plus.
    High School Diploma or equivalent.


    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:


    Proficient with EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.Proficient with configuring Cisco ASA/FTD, NX-OS, Catalyst switches, S2S VPNs, ASR & ISR, AnyConnect, and DMVPN with CUCM and Unity Connection.

    Able to perform detailed work with speed and accuracy.
    Able to organize and prioritize a diverse and heavy workload consisting of many detailed, separate procedures and deadlines.
    Creates strong work relationships with vendors, contractors, insurance agents, and internal staff.
    Communicates effectively, both orally in person and using a telephone and in writing.
    Recognizes personal strengths and weaknesses and be proactive in self-development.
    Has a strong sense of integrity and the ability to deal with ethical situations effectively.
    Willing to work a demanding and flexible schedule.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


    Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have use of arms and hands in repetitive motion.

    A fair amount of standing and walking is also required for the position.
    Ability to travel without limitation, including airplanes, helicopters and boats.
    Ability to move freely on offshore oil rigs, including stairs and lifting up to 50 lbs. Endure extreme weather conditions, hazardous atmospheres.
