    Description

    Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

    Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of extension/conversion)

    Location: Swannanoa, NC

    Shift: Flexible start and end – generally starting between 6:30 & 8:30 am and ending between 3:00 & 5:00pm

    Minimum pay rate starts from: $19/hr on W2

    Note: Would prefer part time hours per week) but would be open to a full time employee

    Job Responsibilities

    • Performs a variety of routine and some non-routine clerical/accounting/customer service functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and/or collections.
    • Contacts other departments, customers and/or outside agencies to resolve problems and resolve open issues. Operates a personal computer and appropriate software packages or its equivalent.

    • Works under minimal supervision.
    • May assist in orienting and training lower-level employees.

    Required Skills

    • Bookkeeping
    • Vendor invoice posting
    • Reconciliations
    • Moderate Adobe and Excel skills

    Preferred Skills

    • General understanding of accounting
    • Manufacturing accounting background
    • Closing out purchase orders through vouchering process
    • Sage Accounting software exposure

    Experience/Education Required

    • secondary diploma or equivalent
    • one to three years of experience
