The purpose of this position is to fulfill current short-range and long-range Parks and Recreation planningand development responsibilities manage current development projects Evaluates Greenway Master Plan Recommends acquisition
and development opportunities assists with acquisition Coordinates with Carolina Thread Trail City Departments to achieve acquisition objectives Participates in greenway construction administration evaluates land
acquisition needs for park facility development recommends acquisition opportunities evaluates parcels determines if they are suitable for
acquisition Pursues land acquisition for park facilities as directed in cooperation with Legal Engineering Planning real estate firms property owners participates in park facility development by coordinating with Engineering Department consultants creates facility designs participates needed design budgeting permitting bidding construction administration coordinates internal staff stakeholders consultants specific tasks park development process conducts presentations Community Workshops assists evaluation budget staffing needs park facility Development Provides Construction Administration greenways Park Facilities coordinating Engineering creation documents permitting project manuals reviews these documents manuals accuracy ensure appropriate funding requested assists Engineering construction administration greenways Park Facilities coordinates Parks Recreation Divisions other Departments transition construction operations Assists pursuit alternative funding projects private public partnerships grants Participates Parks Recreation Project Management Team meeting regularly members provides project management updates ongoing projects pursues project management tasks ensure completion Implements updates all Parks Recreation adopted plans coordinates Engineering consultants existing Park Facilities seeks public managerial input ensures master plans meet recreational community
