    The Ambulatory Assistant is essential to the overall Revenue Cycle flow for Behavioral Health. He/she will be responsible for assessing and verifying all pertinent demographics, insurance and data obtained during the registration and admission process. He/she is responsible for correcting their registration errors via the passport/RQA work center. He/she will be responsible for entering all the MD's daily schedules into Meditech. He/she will be responsible for opening and closing the unit. Will be responsible for identifying potential financial concerns, assisting patients, family members or representatives with state, federal, local and other entitlement programs available to them. He/she will be responsible for collecting patient co-pay /deductible at the time of visit and, provide the patient with a receipt. The Ambulatory Assistant will open/ create charts for new intakes.

    Requirements:

    -High School Diploma/GED required (College Preferred)

    -Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    -Knowledge of electronic registration systems, electronic verification tools and web based applications.

    -Experience with Third Party Payers web applications to check eligibility and authorization requirements.

    -Knowledge of third party reimbursement requirements and regulations.

    -Medicare, Medicaid and managed care requirements.

    -Good customer service and communication and phone etiquette required.

    -1 year experience in Insurance eligibility and authorizations in a medical office preferred.

    Salary Range: $24.884/hr - $26.203/hr
