Title: Key Account Manager Director – Key Accounts (bipolar disorder)

Position Summary

The National Business Director (NBD) is a third-line leader responsible for overseeing the successful launch of a commercial team. The NBD will manage the second line leaders, Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Key Account Manager (KAM) Director within the Bipolar Mental Health/ Neuroscience Team.

This role is focused on developing and executing national-level strategies to ensure the successful launch and sustained growth of the sales team. The National Business Director will provide strategic leadership, align regional and key account efforts with national objectives, and collaborate across functions to drive business success. This position requires exceptional leadership, strong analytical capabilities, and a proven ability to execute strategies in a highly competitive market.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs) to achieve sales performance and strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement team strategies to align with company objectives and key account engagement priorities.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and team coaching sessions to monitor performance, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
  • Ensure KAM activities and account strategies are executed effectively and in compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with client and Amplity senior leadership to set goals, define priorities, and create strategic plans for key account engagement.
  • Oversee the development and execution of account plans created by KAMs, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Analyze team performance metrics, market data, and competitive intelligence to refine strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of initiatives.
  • Serve as an escalation point for KAMs to address challenges with key accounts and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior-level stakeholders within key accounts to strengthen partnerships and optimize collaboration.
  • Represent the company in high-level discussions with key accounts, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and industry stakeholders to establish credibility and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize CRM tools and other reporting platforms to monitor team performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and deliver regular reports and presentations on team progress, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Ensure all activities conducted by the KAM team are fully compliant with regulatory guidelines, corporate policies, and ethical standards.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the KAM team.

Key Working Relationships

  • Directly manages a team of Key Account Managers (KAMs).
  • Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams,
  • Engages with senior client leadership, stakeholders at key accounts, including psychiatrists, clinical directors, and administrators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical sales or account management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams.
  • Proven success in leading account teams within the CNS or mental health space, with experience working with healthcare institutions, academic centers, or large healthcare systems.
  • Strong understanding of the bipolar disorder therapeutic landscape
  • Launch experience preferred
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex data, identify opportunities, and implement actionable plans.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, data reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Comprehensive understanding of bipolar disorder, including its symptoms, treatment protocols, and patient impact.
  • Deep awareness of healthcare regulations, formulary processes, and access dynamics within key accounts and large systems.
  • Ability to travel weekly as needed
  • Technical aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, digital meeting platforms
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving record required
  • Successfully pass all required Amplity and client training

Credentialing Requirements:

As a representative of a pharmaceutical company, you may be required to submit and maintain credentials, such as training, vaccinations, and other job-related documentation to gain access to hospitals or healthcare providers. It is the Company's expectation that you comply with the requirements outlined by the facilities on your call plans.

Additionally, certain geographic jurisdictions or hospital systems have requirements to apply for and obtain a representative license. At this time, representatives working in the District of Columbia, City of Chicago, State of Nevada, State of Oregon, or those associated with Jackson Memorial Health in Miami-Dade County Florida may be required to obtain specific licenses. This list may be subject to change, including the potential for additions or modifications. In the event of any significant changes, you will be notified accordingly.
