Job Duties:
The Virginia Industries for the Blind (VIB) is an enterprise division within the Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired (DBVI).
VIB provides quality, challenging, safe, equitable, and inclusive work environment for employees and managers across the broad range of professional services, manufacturing, retail, and central staff functions of an enterprise operation.

VIB is seeking two VIB Quality Assurance Inspectors. To conduct accurate and timely production inspections in manufacturing to include mattresses and other textile related products.
These inspections will be performed and documented accurately and timely in accordance with federal, state, or customer contract specifications, as well as VIB established standards.
The Quality Inspector will review and ensure all standard processes and procedures are followed and executed as needed.Will perform internal audits to ensure all necessary paperwork is present and completed properly. Proactively will identify and work collaboratively to resolve quality problems. Will identify areas for improvement and assist with writing procedures and work instructions. Providing customer satisfaction and ISO 9001:2015 certification are direct objectives supported by this position.
Minimum Qualifications:

Skills/Abilities -
Requires good vision, attention to detail, thorough documentation for third-party reviews, and basic math skills. Proficient in computer skills-specifically in Excel, Word and Outlook. Ability to bend, sit, stand, and lift up to 40 lbs.
Excellent reading comprehension and communication skills to ensure all federal, state, and other customer contract details are understood and complied with.
