- Acknowledge and greet each member and child entering the Y @ TCC facility.
- Interact with youth through supervising activities or delivering programs.
- Use positive behavior management techniques when disciplining children.
- Ensure the safety of youth while in the group setting.
- Be punctual and dependable for shifts assigned on monthly schedule by supervisor.
- Promote member incentive programs the Y offers throughout Tulsa.
- Perform all duties with Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility.
- Consistently communicate with director regarding cleanliness and safety of facility.
- Report problems, complaints, or concerns to supervisor within 24 hours.
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum 6 months experience working with ages 6-16 years.
- Desire to work with children.
- Understand the nature of the YMCA as a membership organization.
- At least 18 years of age
- High school degree or GED.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Bilingual - English/Spanish.
- Current CPR/AED/First Aid/O2 Certification.

REPORTS TO: Membership Experience & Wellness Director
FLSA TYPE: Part-time, Variable
JOB PURPOSE:
The Youth Activities Leader is responsible for working directly with youth in a supervised setting. This is an integral role in the development of building strong character values in youth. The staff must be representative of the philosophy, mission, and goal of the YMCA. Staff must strive to work cooperatively with their fellow employees to achieve the goals and objectives of the YMCA. Staff may be asked at any time to work in a variety of program spaces. There will be a direct focus on member retention, member recruitment, safety, and customer service through the delivery of program services and effective supervision of youth.
